As lockdown loomed and offices shut, face to face meetings and networking events across the world became a distant but sought after memory. Even in the darkest moments it’s not about what CAN’T be done, but more what CAN be. With the Brandwave crew and thousands of other sports industry professionals working from home full-time, a pivot meeting was put in the diary. The agenda – ‘How do we adapt to this situation and embrace the new working from home culture?’. The unanimous decision – ‘Create a virtual coffee bar’.
Over the past year Brandwave has brought the sports, outdoor and fitness industries together via a series of virtual coffee bars. The invite only, informal format is delivered through facilitated conversation on a chosen theme and takes place twice per month.
Each hour long networking and knowledge sharing session always attracts a great crowd from across different markets and provides a good opportunity to meet others, share ideas and link up afterwards.
