Frozen fingers aside, we had a brilliant day shooting Shimano’s ‘Leaves a Lasting Impression’ accessories campaign, one I got to take from concept all the way through to art direction on the day.

The idea was built around something every cyclist recognises. The tan lines, the mud stripe from your eyewear, the glove line on your wrist. Those little marks tell the story of a long day in the saddle. We made that the heart of the campaign, and honestly, it’s one of those concepts that just kept giving across every touchpoint.

Somehow, despite the weather doing its absolute best to ruin the vibe, the work came out feeling warm and authentic. A strong idea will do that for you.
Really chuffed with this one.

Special mention goes to the ‘Dream Team’ that pulled it all together on the day, the Brandwave Marketing crew, specifically Tania Lewis, for managing every detail, Phil Hill & William Cheaney for their talent and pulling the crew together. Also, Daniel Macaulay for the use of his kitchen, and finally, our wonderful client, Marleen Keesen, for trusting us to deliver.
