After a busy summer of activations, new client wins and some much-needed holidays, it’s the ideal time to take stock, celebrate the highs and reflect on the year so far.
At Brandwave HQ, the press office has been a hive of activity since welcoming Vikki McGill to the team back in January. From in-depth industry interviews, expert guides and standout product placements, here’s a round-up of some of our coverage highlights so far this year.
Vango Bags the Top Spot
Vango has seen a steady stream of coverage across some of the UK’s most prolific titles, with a few standout highlights…
The Red Bulletin’s beautifully curated venture guide featured Vango gear in a flat lay designed to inspire even the most reluctant campers. This was followed by an IndyBest Buy award for the Vango Savannah 400 tent, and yet another accolade from The Telegraph, which crowned the Vango Embrace camping chair as the top choice in its category.
Beeline: Making a Buzz
As soon as they signed, we couldn’t wait to get Beeline’s industry-leading navigation devices out into the world and into the hands of our media and creator network.
Early coverage wins included a feature in Proper Magazine’s August Proper Picks list and a stand-out review of the Velo 2 in the Evening Standard. While across our creator community, The Girl on a Bike spotlighted the Moto II in her latest guide: Top 4 Must-Have Motorcycle Gadgets. Add to that glowing reviews from cycling creators @phil.level.up and @sixonesiix_, Beeline is already making a buzz.
Merrell in the Headlines
Earlier this year, Vikki took Gabriele Dirvanauskas to Wolverine HQ to coordinate an exclusive interview with Merrell’s Tim Selby and Jonny Quint. The feature, published in Drapers, explored Merrell’s unique positioning as an outdoor brand making waves on the high street.
Building on this, Merrell’s approach to balancing technical performance with everyday style was also profiled in Outdoor Industry Compass, featuring the iconic headline: “We build for the mountains – and the pub.”
Hanwag: Leading the Trails
Firmly placed alongside the titans of the trails, Hanwag featured in Escapism’s Excursions Checklist product guide.
Not stopping there, the brand also bagged two spots in Loaded Mag’s Sneakers of the Week, cementing their place as the go-to boots for both adventure seekers and style hunters alike. Adding to the momentum, Outdoor Magic named the Hanwag Banks SF Extra Lady GTX the Best Women’s Hiking Boot for Wide Feet.
Waterspeed is Trending
The April issue of Outdoor Swimmer magazine spotlighted Waterspeed as the must-have app for watersports enthusiasts, ranking it the top trending tool across 30 different disciplines.
Bahrain Surf Park – Making Waves
With the brand launched and the opening set for summer 2026, coverage across the GCC region and core surf media was strong.
MSN.com set the tone, offering the first glimpse of what surfers can expect with a striking bird’s-eye view of the park’s plans. Meanwhile, The Arab Traveller capitalised on Bahrain’s moment in the global spotlight with a double-page spread at the Riyadh Travel Fair, landing just ahead of the F1 itself.
